Optical patch
The patch cable is used to connect two devices, such as a fiber optic transceiver or an optical splitter, that have different types of SC connectors. The cable is typically made of a single-mode fiber and is available in different lengths to suit various applications.
The SC/APC-SC/UPC patch cable is widely used in fiber optic communication networks, especially in applications where high return loss is critical. The angled physical contact design of the SC/APC connector allows for better performance in terms of signal attenuation and reflection, while the unpolished connector on the other end provides a low-cost solution for connecting to devices that do not require high return loss.
